Long day's night

That was fun. (No, really; no sarcasm intended. I had a lot of fun.)
Went to
cmccurry and Amanda (
aemccurry, if she ever gets around to using it)'s house to pay a call, as did
elissa_carey and her kids. I never get tired of seeing these folks, and if anything I wish I'd had a bit more time to spend with them - but as it was, it was almost midnight before we left anyway, and the kids (and, I suspect, Elissa) were starting to get tired. I also managed to introduce Dave (OPR); he seems to have meshed rather nicely. Cam and Amanda we will be seeing on a semi-regular basis (this depends, mostly, on how regularly Moe's game runs), but it'd be nice to see Elissa more often. (The trouble is that she lives so far away; it's not like she's on the Left Coast, but it's still a hike.)
(On the other hand, the fact that she and I live in the same direction from Cam and Amanda means that I got to play freeway tag with her, which was loads of fun until I lost her on 695. :)
Ah, if wishes were only horses...

Date: 2003-01-25 11:16 pm (UTC)...We'd need several Hercules to clean the sudden tide of horse manure. :)
Whew. I was tired when we left. I'm exhausted, now (but still in "drive" mode - ack). Will be passing out as soon as I can convince the headache right behind my right eye to go away.

Date: 2003-01-26 04:07 am (UTC)True. Oh so true.
I'm glad to see that you had a little less of a drive than I thought you would; about two hours, I'd guess? With luck, life will conspire to let you sleep in. :) (Mine didn't; my parents are off to Australia and Micronesia today, and left about half an hour ago. I needed to get up to send them off, as they needed to tell me things about keeping house. ;)

Date: 2003-01-26 06:36 am (UTC)I just remembered that we owe Elissa a visit as well...
And Pumpkin did emerge about 15 minutes after you all left. The first order of business was to loudly point out how hungry she was.
