Long day's night

That was fun. (No, really; no sarcasm intended. I had a lot of fun.)

Went to [livejournal.com profile] cmccurry and Amanda ([livejournal.com profile] aemccurry, if she ever gets around to using it)'s house to pay a call, as did [livejournal.com profile] elissa_carey and her kids. I never get tired of seeing these folks, and if anything I wish I'd had a bit more time to spend with them - but as it was, it was almost midnight before we left anyway, and the kids (and, I suspect, Elissa) were starting to get tired. I also managed to introduce Dave (OPR); he seems to have meshed rather nicely. Cam and Amanda we will be seeing on a semi-regular basis (this depends, mostly, on how regularly Moe's game runs), but it'd be nice to see Elissa more often. (The trouble is that she lives so far away; it's not like she's on the Left Coast, but it's still a hike.)

(On the other hand, the fact that she and I live in the same direction from Cam and Amanda means that I got to play freeway tag with her, which was loads of fun until I lost her on 695. :)

Ah, if wishes were only horses...

Whew. I was tired when we left. I'm exhausted, now (but still in "drive" mode - ack). Will be passing out as soon as I can convince the headache right behind my right eye to go away.

True. Oh so true.

I'm glad to see that you had a little less of a drive than I thought you would; about two hours, I'd guess? With luck, life will conspire to let you sleep in. :) (Mine didn't; my parents are off to Australia and Micronesia today, and left about half an hour ago. I needed to get up to send them off, as they needed to tell me things about keeping house. ;)

I'm glad that you guys had fun. Really wish that we could entertain folks more often. Perhaps if Moe takes a break from GMing, I can host things more often.

I just remembered that we owe Elissa a visit as well...

And Pumpkin did emerge about 15 minutes after you all left. The first order of business was to loudly point out how hungry she was.

I'm actually considering dragging you guys out here. (Assuming that I'm correct about how far Elissa is from you guys, my house should be about an even split.) I'm house-sitting for my parents this month (read: until March 3), so Dave and I have the place to ourselves, which makes for a superior get-together environment.

(And I have Metroid Prime. ;)
