There are reasons for Demon Princes to not accept attunements from other Princes... but occasionally, a Prince finds it useful to have another's powers, in exchange for what is sometimes a terrible price.
Once every one hundred years, on the anniversary of the day the demons fell, Blandine receives a note. It reads, in full, "Blandine - I will be in the Marches tonight. If you can find me, I will come home with you for good. -B" Once every one hundred years, Blandine goes out into the Marches, searching for her lost love, hoping beyond hope that this time she will find her ancient counterpart and return her to the fold.
And once every one hundred years, Beleth becomes human for a day, and sleeps the sleep of the mortal, wondering if Blandine will ever think to look at the dreamers inside of the dreamscapes through which she hunts so desperately.
