edg#17: Looking in the mirror after a shower and realizing abruptly that I'm visibly less overweight than I was six months ago.
Disconcerting, but nice. I haven't achieved my goal yet by a long shot - if I continue the way I'm going now, I'll be hitting my ideal weight around the end of the year - but I can finally see that I'm getting there, independent of what the scale tells me.
