Though I wonder about the artist's impression. I'm sure the planet should be glowing red-hot and look very strange indeed, not exactly like any other boring old gas giant...

I suspect it's supposed to be another star, though I don't think this was a binary system.

Of course, a picture's never going to do the scene justice really. If you were there, your eyes would probably be rather instantly burnt out by the stupendously close and bright light source :).
