- Strangely not tired, even after five hours of sleep.
- Spent most of the day interspersing work (which, lately, involves a lot of "hurry up and wait" scenarios) with reading about poker, writing about fantasy magic systems, and thinking about a game mechanic based on Texas Hold'Em and other community-card games.
- Was assaulted late in the day by a supervisor who suddenly wanted more done before I left, so stayed at work an hour late.
- Had a nice little family steak-and-potato dinner. Discovered that I have enough potatoes to last me until November, even if I'm imprudent. Had an interesting discussion with mother and sister about the nature of fears of heights and falling. (I have no problem with heights if I can't fall. I have problems with falling from ridiculously low heights that wouldn't scare even moderately severe acrophobics. Thus: fear of falling.)
- And now, bedtime.
Good night, all.

. . .
I was thinking the same thing, just last week, after finishing Positively Fifth Street.
