To Do list for the weekend...

...is actually pretty short. About half of the precise plans that I had for this weekend are done already (update a character sheet, finish Joel on Software, finish Trigun vol. 1, buy potatoes), so I'm down to:
(EDIT 2: Since this totally turned into the Post Of Doom, I'm going to cut it away.)
That's my concrete to-do list. I have other things that I'd like to get done, but they're considerably more abstract, and I need to sit down and figure out first steps for all of them before I can work on them. So one more item on the list, I guess:
As an aside, I don't feel the need to apologize for the depressive (or "emo", thank you
demiurgent) posts I've been making lately, per se, but I should explain that I'm not reacting as well as I'd hoped to being alone in the house, and to a few potentially really stupid decisions I've made in the last week or two - and being tired seems to bring out all of my negative impulses.
As another aside, this is the 73rd consecutive day on which I've posted to this journal. I'm not sure anybody cares, but I felt compelled to share.
[EDIT:New to-do:
(EDIT 2: Since this totally turned into the Post Of Doom, I'm going to cut it away.)
- Update the In Nomine Collection's back-end code to use PHP instead of Perl/CGI
- Put at least ten new (well, not-already-uploaded) articles on the INC
- Write at least a thousand words on a short story about an artificial, illuminated moon
- Read certain sections of a certain book in preparation to make a tentative outline for Secret Project I
-
If it's not too awful outside, get some of the lawn mowed (I'd do it now, but the lawn is still dewy, which will bind the blade)(thanks, aurorafirechild!)

- Sit down with a pad of paper and figure out concrete action plans (or at least first steps) for my abstract tasks

[EDIT:New to-do:
- Move Dave's desk downstairs so I can use it. (He has no room in his apartment for it, and told me I can use it if I want, since it's much nicer than mine.) But this is actually a multi-part task, so maybe next weekend:
- Figure out how to rearrange the room to suit the desk.
- Take apart my computer.
- Take apart my current desk.
- Rearrange the room properly.
- Take apart Dave's desk.
- Move Dave's desk down here.
- Reassemble Dave's desk.
- Reassemble my computer.
- Store my old desk somewhere.

Me, I'm just at this moment waiting for the other pair in the house to decide it's time to EAT, and watching my blood sugar nosedive.
