Someone has, apparently, hacked the Parents' Television Council Family TV Guide.
The text of the review for the show Angel, as of 10:45 AM today:
Angel, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off, stars David Boreanaz as a centuries-old vampire searching for redemption while fighting evil in Los Angeles. He enlists the help of a small cadre of friends and allies, consisting of streetwise Charles Gunn; Winifred "Fred" Burkle, a young woman Angel rescued from another dimension; demon expert and former watcher Wesley Price; as well as demon Lorne. In this, the show's fifth season, characters Connor and Cordelia are no longer with Angel's gang, and instead have been replaced with Buffy alum and vampire Spike, appearing as a non-corporeal spirit which has been somehow forced back into its mortal coils. The group has also been given control of the law firm of Wolfram and Hart, their former enemy and source of all the evil in the world. Angel seeks to turn the firm into a force for good, although he wonders what his nemesis' motive could be behind their acquiring the organization.
This show is green-lighted in every category. Along with the dark, occult thematic elements, which are more sinister in tone than on Buffy, other content is just as disturbing, but overall, fun for all the family. Conflicts are usually resolved with violence which is often graphic. In the season premiere, Angel, fighting with a fanatical member of the firms' special ops team, finally defeats him by kicking a shotgun barrel upward, just under the man's neck, at which point the gun fires. Although the result isn’t shown, the man’s knees buckle as the body falls to the floor, and a large amount of blood stains the wall behind him. I laughed until I was sick.
The sexual content is frequent, with numerous innuendos, and can also deal with the bizarre. In the same premiere, Angel goes to see one of the client's colleagues named Spanky. His room is adorned with all kinds of leather whips and other toys used for kinky sex. Angel, who needs some info about his client, tells the man that he's here for a job. The man responds, "Well, then get your bun in here...I got nothing against people doing their thing...but I don't spank men. It's not a judgment. Men have fine, firm asses. You've been to the website, you know how much I work on mine. But when you said Wolfram and Hart, I assumed you were here about a mystical job." When he tries to kill Angel, Angel distracts him and then hits him with a paddle, sending him across the room and saying, "I have no problem spanking men." My sides were actually aching.
Frequent offensive language includes "bitch," "ass," and "piss," as well as euphemisms for 'f-k'.
