but don't confuse cyber and steampunk! cyber is supposed to be futuristic and steampunk...well..is a form of goth but less darkness and much more of a fascination with cogs/gears/STEAM...
Wow. For one, anyone who writes like that about "the scene" and "what goth is" should really just wait till their old enough to go to an actual goth club and realize that beyond style/music differences, it's just another club with usuals, fashion trends, etc..
Secondly, I don't see what this small "victorian cyber" style has anythng to do with the concept of "steampunk" except that steampunk imagry is a good resource for their fashion ideas. It seems your interest, like a lot of things, was invaded by a bunch of spookykids who redefined the term to what they thought it was.
Half those comments don't seem to know anything about what they're talking about. Then again, the debate about "what is goth?" or "the origins of goth" are usually like that.
