Daily events:

Woke up at 8:30; could not get back to sleep. As this was only 8 hours of sleep, was not only surprised but mildly annoyed.

Went downstairs. Was told that pipe had burst and therefore the house had no water. Stupid house.

Played metric loads of Metroid. Possibly too much. Will likely now have bounty hunter dreams.

Had lunch at a Japanese restaurant. Have not been so entertained by food in years. Dave says, "I feel like I just watched Iron Chef."

Did not buy comics. As car repair is $320, am being virtuous. Really. (Did not buy Skuld or Urd figurines either, despite immense temptation.)

The water is back on. Despite the county's desperate attempts to keep us on the road by diverting traffic and thereby causing a dead standstill, I am safely home (we drove about in Dave's Toyota. I miss my Volvo already).

Tomorrow I will be productive. I promise. No Metroid at all until I have written a thousand words.
