Bleh. I think
Cam says it about as well as I could have, even if there are some artifacts in the image.
(Actually, I'm as much Irish as I am Scottish. I just don't like St. Patrick's Day.)
Doctor called last night; thyroid is normal, bad cholesterol is about five points too high, and good cholesterol is about three points too low. So I have some work to do, it seems.
On the plus side, it was easier to get up this morning than it has been in a while, despite my not being able to get to sleep until an hour after I went to bed.

My main issue with St. Patrick's Day, to be honest, is the fact that it's one of the few holidays that's become almost wholly commercialized. A lot of people say that about Christmas, or Thanksgiving, or - well - pretty much every widely-recognized* holiday, really, but I have very little doubt that if you asked the average Christmas celebrant who Jesus was, you'd get an answer that at least bespoke a passing familiarity with the man's legend/history. But almost nobody knows anything about St. Patrick's Day**, aside from the fact that you're supposed to wear green and that shamrocks are important, and that bugs me.
* Okay, in the States.
** In my experience. I dunno, maybe I just talk to the wrong people. :)
