Allo. Allo. ALLO...
...good-bye.
Moved into my new office today. It's nice to have an office to myself (at least for a while)... and it's nice to have a motion sensor (to activate the overhead lights) that can see me...
Also, questions from
cpip! Standard rules apply.
1) The polar ice caps are melting and Baltimore is soon to wash into the sea, along with all the other cool places on the coastlines of the world. Where do you move to?
Given an effectively-infinite moving budget? Either the Swiss Alps or the Black Forest region of Germany.
2) You're offered the chance to pack your things and dimensionally shift to the universe of any gaming system you like. You'll remain yourself, but you still have all the knowledge of the world you gleaned from your reading the game's rulebooks. Where do you go?
Hm. Probably the In Nomine universe.
3) What was the greatest bit of wisdom anyone has ever imparted to you?
My immediate response was to say "With great power comes great responsibility". It's good advice - but I might have taken it a little too far; I tend to take responsibility without the commensurate power. To tell the truth, I think the greatest bit of wisdom ever imparted to me might have come as recently as this morning, when Howard Tayler said "Don't let business interfere with work" - in other words, don't let all of the things that you think you have to do in order to do what you want to do keep you from doing what you want to do.
4) What's your earliest childhood memory?
Climbing mountains in Ireland with my family. I was two years old, I think.
5) What's your earliest gaming memory?
Playing Dungeons & Dragons (the red box) with my cousin Kit. I was four.
