Second, technically, but...

When I got to the house after driving home from the airport Tuesday night, half of the sky was snowing; the other half was crystal clear. It was as if the sky wanted to reflect that I had one foot in vacation and the other back in the routine. The snow didn't stick to anything, but it was very pretty.
Tonight, it's snowing again, and this time it's sticking. The average temperature went down about fifteen degrees between when I left and when I got back, and it's dropped another five degrees since, so the ground is cold enough for snow to accumulate. So far we have about a quarter of an inch, but more is coming down every second, the crystals glinting and shining in the dim porch light.
Who knows what will happen by tomorrow morning? The weather forecast calls for the snow to drop off... but I can hope, right?
