  • ...did a lot of slacking, which is okay, since I have no real obligations until I get to Michigan.
  • ...drove nearly 600 miles and crossed one state border and one national border.
  • ...successfully managed to get to my destination despite misleading directions from Google. (Hint: I-69/I-94 becomes Route 402 when you leave the US.)
  • ...discovered several interesting things about the average Ontario freeway driver:
    • The average Ontario freeway driver does not see your rear bumper as something from which to stay several car-lengths away. The average Ontario freeway driver instead sees your rear bumper as His Plastic Pal Who's Fun To Be With.
    • The average Ontario freeway driver does not pass on the left. The average Ontario freeway driver does not pass on the right. The average Ontario freeway driver pulls up behind you and waits for you to get out of the way, even if there are open lanes to either side.
    • The average Ontario freeway driver is passive-aggressive. If the average Ontario freeway driver pulls out of a slow lane and into a lane where you are going slightly faster, and you are not going sufficiently faster, the average Ontario freeway driver will pull back into the slow lane.

  • ...met [livejournal.com profile] jelynne. (She's wonderful.)
  • ...met several of [livejournal.com profile] jelynne's friends. (I don't know if they're on LJ.)
  • ...watched the first half-season of Naruto.
  • ...read the first two TokyoPop volumes of Sgt. Frog.
  • ...met [livejournal.com profile] jelynne's immediate family. (I'm pretty sure they're not on LJ.)
  • ...managed to split the end of my tongue from mild dehydration.
  • ...met [livejournal.com profile] ginny_t. (She's a pip! And a vegetarian. Who knew?)
  • ...had Greek food.
  • ...am going back to Lansing in about 16 hours.
