Studying

I wish I could figure out how to take notes and read at the same time. Either I get caught up in the note-taking and take more notes than there is actual text, or I get caught up in the reading and forget to write notes.

I got some little sticky flags, though, and I'm re-reading the last six books of the Iliad to prepare for tomorrow's quiz, and putting a flag at every important passage. I'm going through about 5-10 flags per book.

Next I get to do the same thing to the Poetry text, only I think I might actually have to work on note-taking for that.

On an almost completely unrelated note, for some reason I find it really weird to not know how often someone checks their email.

I got a bare A- - 90/100 - on the history paper that none of you wanted to see, you ingrates.

Because, you see, when you're online as much as I am, you run across personality quizzes. And one of the ones I've seen (but of which I forgot the address until [livejournal.com profile] melpomenes_mask reminded me) is What Poetry Form Am I?.

I was considering printing out the address and a few sample forms and bringing them to class tomorrow.

But I've also printed out random poetry and brought it to class two out of the last three sessions.

How much is too much? Should I just stop? Or is it fun to have weird snippets brought in, even if it's all the same person doing the bringing-in?

...

Which form am I?

Now, that would be telling.
