Have had aurorafirechild as a most agreeable guest since Wednesday night. Has been nice to have her around.

Went and saw The Incredibles today. Despite theater allfuckedupness (there was a cueing problem with the projector, so we missed all of the opening short and a little bit of the second reel; both times the screen went black, the lights came up, and we started hearing the interstitial radio), thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and recommend it to everyone. (nvdaydreamer, you are absolutely right about the Edith Head thing.) Will probably go see it again tomorrow.

Dropped aurorafirechild off at Penn Station around 7. Stopped at store on the way home for dinner. At 7:40, was merrily on my way home when J. Random Asshole in a sports car decided to tailgate me down a narrow rural hill. I decided to pull off at the bottom of the hill and allow him to pass; there is a known pull-off there that would have made it easy to get off the road and then back on again. Unfortunately, I misjudged the length of the hill by thirty or forty feet, and instead of pulling off at the pull-off I pulled off into the deep mud at the side of the road and got stuck. (J. Random Asshole kept driving as though nothing was wrong.)

At 9:00, the tow truck showed up.
