Topiku muyo!
Oct. 12th, 2004 08:40 amHad an odd thought last night: An in-game action can be considered cinematic if it would look cooler in slow motion (at least the first time). Thoughts?
I ran across the term "appropriated art" earlier today, which strikes me as a stupidly arrogant concept. Most of the rest of the world calls that "stealing", folks.
My last RL role-playing game has been cancelled; although I don't bear any ill will toward anyone involved (the GM is now preparing not only for her doctoral dissertation but for her wedding), it means that I'm now a participant in exactly one game. This is somewhat less than my self-determined optimal number.
I've discovered that in order to afford Spain in January, I'll have to save $300 from every paycheck from here to the end of the year. That's not going to happen (for the next two paychecks, at least, I'm not going to have $300 to save), so, er, maybe later. I really hate that - really, really hate that - because I know that "maybe later" has a tendency to mean "not gonna happen", but I am keeping it on my to-do list. Just maybe not in January.
