Back in the saddle again

So I'm back at work today; I was out yesterday, because Alex was sick on Wednesday (and the day care wouldn't let him come back for 24 hours after his last display of symptoms).

It's pretty much as boring as ever.

Jessica arrives today to take Alex back to California. It's inspiring mixed feelings in me: for a long time, this was an eternity away, and then suddenly it was here - and I can't decide whether the summer took forever, or went by in a flash. Probably both.

I'm going to miss my baby when he's gone.

*boggle*

Some days it doesn't pay to check my email.
