So God rides a chariot made entirely out of multi-eyed flashing orb creatures that are actually angels. I can't help but feel that God would totally win a low-rider contest. (From

It's been an interesting day so far. I got up on time for the first time this week, but when I got out of the shower, Alex had disappeared; turned out he was downstairs playing video games with the sound off. (I think maybe the video games are going to go away for a while.) Lots of idiots on the road (first time I've ever seen anyone pulled over for doing less than the minimum speed). When I went in to tell Gail that I was running over to the coffeeshop for a bagel, she was plugging in her new miniature heater; by the time she'd handed me the money for the pumpernickel bagel that she wanted, the heater was on fire. (Seems the fan structure had collapsed into the heating element. Oops.)
Here's hoping that the rest of the day will be marginally less exciting. The bagel, at least, was good, although the café con leche could be sweeter.
