"I went to the circus!"
"Oh? Did you have fun?"
"Yes I did."
"Did you see elephants?"
"Yes, elephants were very big!"
"Did you see lions and tigers?"
"No, I saw tigers, but they didn't have lions."
"Did you see... an octopus?"
"No, Daddy, octopus lives in the water."

I love my son.

Still haven't heard back from Jessica, which is starting to make me a little nervous - not only are my plans up in the air, but I have no real way of making sure that she and Alex are okay.

Having just finished Season 1 of Smallville, it occurs to me to wonder what Jess'a would do if I started calling our son "Lex".

[livejournal.com profile] folklorist. Max Lockman is a professional, independent folklorist living in Andeburg, MA, a small town about halfway between Amherst and Worcester. He has degrees from Boston University to the Master's level in anthropology, with a specialty of folklore, and his job is to travel around the country (and occasionally the world), collecting obscure local legends and myths. His eventual plans include writing books on this subject, based on his research.

He is also entirely fictional.
