So it's 3:30 AM and I'm at work already. I couldn't sleep tonight, so I figured I'd get the work phase of my day out of the way, take a four-hour nap when I get home, and work the rest of the afternoon as normal.
I'm going to start doing weekly weigh-ins again; now that I'm going back on a diet and starting to exercise more frequently, it'll be interesting to chart my weight. (I have a dry-erase-board calendar which I'm modifying for just such a purpose.) So far I've lost two or three pounds since last Sunday; the scale was unclear. Either way it's a victory, since I hadn't actually started on the diet yet and I haven't really been exercising regularly like I should be.
I've been having dire inklings of running a Hellboy game. Of course, I've also been having dire inklings of setting a light comedy Hellboy game in a Hinata Inn-style BPRD dormitory, so maybe I just shouldn't think about this too much.
Anyway. On to actual work! Huzzah!

Sep. 8th, 2003 04:18 am...I love my job for its T3. How can you go wrong with a connection that lets you download 22 megabytes (in this case, the Windows MySQL install, for the web interview I'm writing) in under 40 seconds?

(As a general sort of comment, not connected to the above: I don't dislike the new look for LiveJournal, unlike apparently almost everybody else ever, but is it just me, or is it not displaying comments properly (i.e., occasionally not at all)?)

An edit, so I'm not too posty...
It just occurred to me that while I may no longer be a student, I am a staff member at a major academic institution.
This means that I technically qualify for academic discounts on software.
Not that I can afford any even with the discount, but it's nice to know.
