Saying "This is an easy case," a federal judge ruled Friday against Fox News in its lawsuit asserting that a book by liberal satirist Al Franken violates its trademarked slogan, "fair and balanced."
Fox was seeking an injunction to halt distribution of "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right."
In other news, it's an unfortunate truth that the letter I posted earlier (much, much earlier) this morning will probably never see print; not only did I fail to include my telephone number and street address, I also overwrote by about 600 words, requirements of which I was not made aware until after I sent the letter.
Oh well. It makes me feel good to have written it, and I might be able to convert it into an essay. (I was trying to keep it short!)
