Decisions, decisions

Note that the results of this won't necessarily influence my decision. I'm just curious as to what people think.

I think I'd need to know why you're going back to school to say anything intelligent at all! What do you want out of it?

If you view it as education/training towards a new career, go with a major that will support you in that career.

If you view it as an opportunity for personal enrichment and growth (and, incidentally, a magic piece of paper), go with whatever captures your interest.

If the thing that most captures your interest also happens to be training for your hoped-for career, wazoo!

I did both; it took five years and I had very little room for interesting or broadening electives beyond my two majors. I think they're both valid ways of approaching the college experience. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have a good-paying job; there is nothing wrong with wanting to expand your scholarship in a given field.

Best of luck!
