Random thoughts

  • Apparently there is no commercially-available soundtrack to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. However, the composers apparently have released the full soundtrack as a 64-meg download. I am currently feverishly refreshing GMail every minute or so (I run Windows ME, so I don't have an auto-checker) to see if they've sent me my registration authentication yet so I can download the thing.

  • As a result of this, I've been listening to video game music for just about three hours straight.

  • There is, as I have just said elsewhere, a part of me that is urging the rest of me to write Prince of Persia fanfic. I am violently suppressing this small, chattery part.

  • Based on my diet recently, and the "you are what you eat" adage, I fully expect to become a potato any day now.

  • In the winter of 1998-1999, my family and I went to Spain for two weeks. It was a great experience - but I want to go again, and do things that I want to do this time.

  • It. Won't. Shut. Up.

My husband, lover of all things soundtracky, would love to know where you're getting the music from :D

As soon as the download starts, I'll let you know. (You have to register and wait for confirmation before you're allowed to download, and until I actually see the file transfer, I'm not convinced that it's actually there.)

Or did you mean video game music in general? Years ago I acted as the FTP and web server for a video-game-music website, and I still have 40 soundtracks from that, whole and in pieces, on my hard drive. Also, I patronize places like www.gamemusic.com, which adds another 15 or so soundtracks. :)

Yay comments!

I've found this listing (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SCDC-383), which seems to indicate that a soundtrack is forthcoming (note the October 20, 2004 release date). But it's a Japanese site, and this is the only place I've seen any sort of listing for an official soundtrack, so...
