All of you know that I am generally not one to appreciate the merits of my own work. I overcriticize myself, and am never satisfied with what I've produced.

This makes it somewhat startling, and yet inordinately pleasing, that even several months after its release, when several products that are (in my eyes) far more meritorious have been released, my book is still the single highest-rated item on e23.

So: What would you do differently with the book in question to make it EVEN BETTER?

I am heavily stifling the impulse to reply "give it to another author".

Hey, that was supposed to be a funny reply. :P

In all honesty, I'd like to have put more research in, and gotten it done faster. (I'd also like to have had the motivation to make it 32kw instead of 20kw, which sort of ties in with the more-research thing.)

(I'd also kind of like, in retrospect, to have not put so much into the "ghost hunters" section. At one point I was actually planning on writing three of these - Liber Umbrarum, Liber Mortuorum (undead), and Liber Venatorium (ghost hunters) - but the "ghost hunters" section of LU kind of obviated the third of those.)

*high five* You rock. The sooner you realize this, the better off we will all be. :)

Good to see you finally pleased with something you've accomplished, and actually seeing it as an accomplishment.

Mm, I've seen this as an accomplishment for a while. What I see as a failing is my inability to follow up on it.

But thank you. :)

When I was 17, I got a short-short (200 words, a double-drabble) published in one of the Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword and Sorceress anthologies. (#7, for anyone who doesn't know.)

And there my credits have sat for quite some time, till I got IOU, GIN, and various other things. (Like Lilith. Yes, I am without shame. Once they follow your link, I hope they follow mine too. O:>)

So. Sometimes one marinates, absorbs the feedback, and then produces more stuff. (And my production went so way down when I was in college. Utterly. Then I got out and wrote a grand unpublished novel.) You'll get to it. Or you'll get to something you want to do more.

(Thanks!)

For what it's worth, Truth & Justice is one of the more meritorious works.
