Some thoughts on a day.

At the end of the day I won't consider myself to have accomplished much. I certainly haven't accomplished anything I set out to accomplish. The trouble with that outlook is that I haven't been unproductive at all. I've done HTML coding and MUSH coding, I've done a significant amount of straightening (including sorting and putting away 90% of the clutter in my study), and I have made all kinds of progress on a story I'm working on, even though it's conceptual work instead of actual writing. By the time I go to bed, the house will at least be clean enough that I won't have to worry if my parents show up early tomorrow.

My parents are showing up tomorrow. So is my sister Jaime. So is my son Alex.

Tomorrow, I have to call the gym and tell them that I haven't used the service I signed up for two weeks ago, I don't ever intend to use the service, and since they haven't yet billed me for it, I want them to cancel it.

Lastly, my sincerest condolences to cow, who lost a friend.

Also, if any of you see me online between now and noon Eastern tomorrow (7/1), please tell me to get up and walk away from the computer. I need the offline time.
