aemccurry, the star that I was tracking tonight, near Orion? Was Sirius. Just FYI. :)

I was looking for Saturn tonight, but found Jupiter instead. And discovered that my telescope is just powerful enough to resolve not only Jupiter's Galilean moons but a few of its bands as well. This makes me tremendously happy.

Now I really want a 400x eyepiece and a camera attachment.
